Subj: Cialis myalgia
Date: 5/17/2004
I have taken Cialis 20mg three times. On the second dosage the medicine worked as it should. However, after more than 48 hours, I developed moderate myalgia of the upper legs (the thighs). I had not associated the pain with Cialis until I took the third pill (several weeks later). Again, approximately 48 hours later I developed moderate myalgia again on the upper thighs. I also noted that my ankles were sore.

Subj: Better than Viagra
Date: 6/12/2004
(I) liked it better than Viagra although it seemed a little slower to activate and left a bit of a feeling of engorgement.

Subj: Eye problems from Cialis
Date: 7/21/2004
Does Cialis cause eye problems? I have taken Cialis and have glaucoma and have noticed problems with my eyesight.
William

AskDocWeb: Since Cialis acts much the same way (and on the same parts) as Viagra, we would suspect similar side effects. With Viagra 3% of men experienced transient visual effects (seeing a blue haze). Others had trouble distinguishing between blue and green objects. In a few cases there was blurred vision and sensitivity to light.

Subj: Amazing
Date: 8/9/2004
I used Cialis for the first time tonight. After using both Levitra and Viagra, I am amazed at how well it works. Levitra and Viagra did not work for me at all. Cialis has been unbelievable. The intensity of the erections and frequency is mind-blowing. My wife is still in shock. This product works. I have been able to have a very long and hard erection about every half-hour for the past 4 hours. We will test the 36 hour claim. The side effect are substantially less as well.

Subj: Staying power
Date: 9/29/2004
Just tried it yesterday early afternoon. Sometimes, in a hurry to get things going, I have just chewed a very bitter Viagra pill. Cialis, if chewed, tastes sweet and not bitter. And, I noticed that I was feeling "tingly" down there within 15 minutes with a little lightheadedness. I also noticed that with Viagra I simply could NOT have an orgasm during the 5 or 6 hours that it was in my system. Cialis did not impede an orgasm. HOWEVER, I will switch back to Viagra after this test of a 20mg dose of Cialis. The next morning, about 4 a.m. I woke with a real bad headache. I had no other drugs or even alcohol in my system. The headache persisted until the afternoon with lower back muscle soreness. I am disappointed with Cialis for this reason. Also, my inability to have an orgasm with Viagra also meant that I had incredible staying power, which was more important to me in pleasing my partner.

Subj: Strong leg cramps
Date: 10/5/2004
I have used cialis several times with no side effects until a couple of months ago. At that time I had strong leg cramps in my thighs. The cramps were like a charlie horse, but I was unable to straighten my legs to lessen the pain. I had drank a energy drink earlier in the day. Is there a connection?
John

AskDocWeb: We haven't heard of any problems with using energy drinks with Cialis, however, muscle pain was listed as one of the side effects of this drug. The severity of this side effect was minimized with lower doses.

Subj: Cialis side effects
Date: 11/13/2004
I took cialis 10 months ago. NB:30yo very physically fit, bike 200ks pw, gym 6 dayspw, surfing 7 times pw exc diet and low stress employment. I have been suffering ever since. My eye problems still include - Blurred vision, burning (like onions in the eye) Constant poked in the eye feeling, swollen left eyelid, and that always feel like they have eyelashes in them. Over the ten months the pain in the eye has been unbearable and led to emotional breakdown. Had very bad headaches. Over ten months I have had a headache for a realistic 90-95% of waking hours. Tingling in the head sickness and nausea. All my $savings and countless doctors and health modalities later I am still in pain unemployed and sleeping on my mothers lounge. All after one cialis tablet.

Subj: It works!
Date: 11/30/2004
It works. On a recent vacation, my girlfriend and I had sex every day (sometimes 3 or 4 per day) for a week and I think her head is still spinning. My confidence is through the roof now. Try it.

Subj: Muscular pain with Cialis
Date: 12/7/2004
My urologist prescribed Cialis and also Flomax. Flomax for prostate & bladder problems. Both drugs are muscle relaxants. The first time I used Cialis I was cautious and cut off about a third of a 20mg pill. I also did not take Flomax the night before. Cialis worked and I had no side effects. The second time I used the remaining portion of the pill (probably13mg) and did take Flomax the night before taking Cialis. That time I had noticeable side effects. I felt a bit dizzy about a half hour after taking Cialis. That passed after a couple of hours. But just at the end of the 36 hour period was my bedtime. That night I experienced muscular pain all over and could not sleep. I wonder whether Flomax and Cialis relax the same muscles, and taking both is a bit much? The urologist thought those drugs were compatible.

Subj: Ischemic Optical Neuropathy
Date: 12/14/2004
I have read that Viagra can cause Ischemic Optical Neuropathy and seen several internet articles on this topic since 2002. I have not seen anything similar on Cialis, which is supposed to work the same way as Viagra.

Subj: Sudden blurring of vision
Date: 1/10/2005
I have been on cialis for 2 months (twice weekly) Yesterday I develpoed sudden blurring of vision in left eye. My Ophthalmic Surgeon ( & retinal surgeon ) Found preretinal harmorrhage & are confused as to what can be the cause. I have not told them about cialis. What shall I Do??? Stop cialis & tell my Ophthalmologist??? He has advised me laser therapy to prevent further bleeding in my retina. Please advise urgently.
Nimesh

AskDocWeb: You should definitely tell your ophthalmologist about the Cialis. This is information he needs to know in order to decide the best treatment for you.

Subj: Cialis is great
Date: 2/9/2005
IT WORKS -:) Great medicine. I hope it won't have side effects on the long term. Would recommend it to everyone having ED. Viagra did not work on me. Bye and good luck.

Subj: Cialis and back pain
Date: 2/13/2005
Have used Cialis a few times and it is fantastic in doing what it is supposed to do but after a particularly strong dose over the last few days I now have very painful lower back pain extending down the back of my thighs :( what a shame!

Subj: Cialis/Viagra and bodybuilding
Date: 2/16/2005
I have a thought on either cialis or viagra and my doctor confirmed that I could be right. I've been a bodybuilder for years and though erections are not my problem, I wanted to know that if I took a small dose of either before a weight workout, would it engorge the blood into the muscle I was working at the time, such as Biceps, or Pecs? It makes sense that it would and I read in the paper a while back that mountain climbers were doing this and it increased their endurance.

AskDocWeb: Although we haven't seen any studies on this, it does makes sense. Have you tried this?

Subj: Concern about Cialis
Date: 2/25/2005
I suffer from Parkinson's syndrome as well as Type 1 diabetes. I am 64 years old.

I have used both Viagra and Cialis quite extensively. Viagra works for me sometimes but rarely lasts for more than 12 to 16 hours. The intensity of the sexual pleasure is no more than one would normally expect.

However Cialis is a different ball-game altogether. It not only produces rock-hard erections but is also an aphrodisiac, heightening the sexual pleasure at least 5 fold. For me its effects after taking only half a tablet 2 days consecutively can last up to 2 to 3 days. My only reservation about its effects on me are that it heightens my experience to frenetic levels. I become so vigorous that I am afraid I may hurt my partner. I could almost say it makes me aggressive sexually.

Subj: Leg pains with Cialis
Date: 2/28/2005
I tried Cialis and it worked great but I'm getting pains in my legs. Can I cut a 20mg pill in half in order to try a lower dose.
Zo

AskDocWeb: This is something you should talk to your doctor about. The leg pains may be an indication of something serious. And while you are there, ask your doctor about splitting the pills.

Subj: High blood pressure and Cialis
Date: 3/1/2005
I am a 47 years old male with history of hypertension. Actually I'm not in antihypertensive therapy. Last time I used the drug at approximately 36-38hrs. After the dose, I experienced a very strong peculiar focalized headache at the occipital area (different from usual headache). Also, when I took my blood pressure I had about 145/100 which is not normal to me. I usually run with blood pressures of about 140/85-90. Do you think my symptoms are related to Cialis?
Heriberto

AskDocWeb: Your 145/100 blood pressure indicates stage 1 hypertension, which should be evaluated by a medical professional. Although it is quite possibly caused by the Cialis, you should still have it check out. According to the new guidelines released May 2003, a change in your blood pressure is more important than previously thought. The new guidelines have changed the diagnostic standards for blood pressure. To make sure your doctor is using the newest information, you might want to visit the National Institutes of Health web site and print a copy of the new JNC 7 "Express" report for your doctor (it is 52-pages when they get their website fixed). Many doctors are overworked and can't keep up with every new study as soon as it comes out.

Not very effective, plus intense leg pain that lasted for days. Not good.

Subj: Sinus headache
Date: 5/10/2005
When I have taken Viagra or Libidus the herbal equivalent, I always get a headache and a stuffy sinus. Is there something I can take in conjunction to ward off these side effects. The headache also resides in my jaw muscles sort of like a sinus headache. Thanks,
Steve

AskDocWeb: You could try an over the counter sinus med. Let us know if you find something that works. A lot of men have the same problem.

Subj: Amazing results but
Date: 6/6/2005
The results are amazing. I can attest that it does stay with you for as long as 30 hours and the results are remarkable.

The headache that occasionally accompanies use on the day after, can be quite the monster, but I have found that if I stay hydrated, drinking alot of water before and after taking Cialis, the headache is not present the next day.

One thing I have noticed however, is that the night after use I have difficulty sleeping peacefully. Very Vivid dreams, and restless tossing and turning. I have not seen this listed as a side effect for usage, however, but it is one my partner and I have both taken notice of.
Bob

Subj: Cialis side effects?
Date: 2/25/2006
Are there reports of individuals who have taken Cialis and developed the following symptoms exactly: facial swelling including the lips, rash on the arms, sweating and passing out?
Nicole

AskDocWeb: That sounds exactly like an allergic reaction, which means you would need emergency medical care.

Subj:
Date: 3/13/2006
I've read of the potential problems with eye hemorrhaging with the use of Cialis. I took some on Thursday night, only part of a 20 mg pill--maybe 7 to 10 mg. Tonight (Sunday) I had a pain in my left eye while driving and when I arrived home, looked in the mirror to see a very blood shot eye. What happened? Is it related to the Cialis?
Mr. A

Askdocweb: You could of had a retinal degenerative disorder to begin with, but yes, it could be related. It sounds like you may not be able to safely take Cialis.

Subj: Cialis really works
Date: 8/27/2007
It really works and I use half a 20mg tablet every couple of days. I started using it because I'm also taking Propecia for mild hair loss (I'm mid 30's) and I had a noticeable loss of libido. The side effects I've experienced include slight blurred vision and sensitivity to light. An unexpected perk of Cialis is that in addition to the obvious strong hard on, you get to last far longer than normal. On the downside, I've occasionally had a great hard on, but I'm not really that interested in the sex. This can make it a bit difficult to orgasm sometimes.
Keith

Subj: Cialis and green tea
Date: 1/22/2008
Cialis works rather slower than viagra for me. Also found that if I take cialis with green tea the drug doesn't work! I could not get a proper erection when I need it!
Mike
